I'm Ava. I'm 19, from Sydney, and about a year ago, I started noticing my hair shedding more than usual.

At first, I didn't think much of it. But then it became this thing I couldn't ignore. Hair everywhere. In my shower. On my pillow. In my hands after washing it.

I'd clean the shower drain before my family got home. I'd avoid letting anyone use my bathroom. I felt embarrassed about something I couldn't even control.

The thing is, I wasn't alone. I started talking to my mates, women in my life - and so many of them were dealing with the same thing. Postpartum. Hormones. Stress. PCOS. Just life.

But there was nothing out there for us. Everything was either cheap and medical-looking, or it just didn't work. Nothing felt like it was made for women who wanted something that actually looked good in their bathroom.

So I created Strande.
